-Good result for GMC rider David Weston-he broke the magical Hour mark for the 1st time in a few years with a mid 59.
-Pammie finished 2nd in the Masters 2 female grade and was actually the 3rd fastest masters female overall.
-The Coach.. rode 51.24 to break the course record...and is stoked..

Well it's been ages since I've posted on the old coaching web-site, and really its because I havent been coaching... infact I stopped completly for a while...
Why?... I stopped riding full-time 14 months ago and got a real job! so with work and training I just couldn't get the balance right, and if I'm gonna coach I'm gonna do it properly.

So now I have the balance a bit more sorted I'm gonna do a little more coaching again, infact I've already had 4 people hit me up for coaching in the last few months so I'm away again.

Back again

Well...after a bit of time out of coaching due to setting up bike360, I've started coaching again.

Come in to bike360 in Rosebank rd in Avondale if you get the chance and check out the new training zone being created (due for completion at the end of easter).

There is a dedicated spin class area, specialist nutrition/body care area, The new Relaxium Elite trainer for sports testing (performing the CONI test etc) so I can see exactly where my clients are on the fitness/improvment scale.

A BT erg is available for hire for those really hard work-outs (on site)...aswell as wind-trainers for the winter wind trainer classes should you need it.

Full Cycle

Sorry for no updates of late, I've been busy setting up the new Full Cycle store in Avondale in Auckland.
So from this point onwards apart from the 1-2 people I already coach outside of NZ I will not be coaching people outside of NZ.
Coaching from now on will be based from the Full Cycle store, so feel free to come along and ask questions, or even join the Full Cycle/GMC Coaching rides from the store at 6pm each Wednesday evening.
Apart from all that action, GMC riders have been doing well, with Tracy Purdy becoming a double national champion in the TT and Road Race at the recent club nationals held in Auckland.
Take it easy and I'll see you all at Full Cycle.

Well,
I'm back in NZ,,,and that means GMC rides resume as normal... including the Wednesday 'Torture Route' ride (100km in the Waitakes)...every Wednesday morning at 7am at Point Chev Cnr.
Also the Friday waterfront spin.. 6am at the start of the waterfront (same place as TT start) for 2 laps of the waterfront followed by coffee.

Finally some of the GMC Coaching clothing is here...

1st up is a limited run of GMC Socks, As it's a limited run I had to pick the most common size, so it's size 8-11..

They are coolmax socks and really comfortable, white only... $20 a pair...

I should be back in NZ on about the 3rd of October... the Friday morning training rides will resume straight away (6am at the start of the waterfront), so if your an existing client or are interested in being coached then come along have an easy spin...we finish the ride at a cafe on the waterfront and have a bit of a yarn and a catch up.

I know I should'nt swear on the GMC Coaching web-site, but I have to say 'well done asshole!, now you can join the ranks of Hamilton and co'.

I've proven by myself and the people I coach that you can achieve your objectives by training hard and following your training program....

Riders on the Up!

GMC Coaching riders are on the up!
Over here in the UK Sean Brennan keeps getting faster and faster and is really on target for hauling ass in the Irish track nationals later in the year,
Meanwhile in NZ Jeremy Meech is sitting 2nd in the CMC winter series B Grade, Meechy really follows his training program to the letter,infact 1 year ago he was struggling in D Grade. Good Stuff!
Neil Aldridge in Los Angelos has been tearing it up, its good to see, Neil had some time aaway from the bike due to work committmants and is now back at it Full Noise!

Keep up the good work everybody.

Biggs takes 1st win,

Brian Biggs has taken his 1st win ever oversea's after signing for the Plowman Craven-Evans Cycles pro cycling team for the 2007 season. The race was a criterium held around the Milton Keynes bowl in the UK.

Clothing on the Way!!!

The 1st batch of GMC Coaching clothing is due to go into production next week, the new kit looks really cool and already there have been orders from GMC Coaching clients.
Keep checking the web-site, I'll get some pictures up as soon as the clothing is made.

Tracey Purdy Wins!

Tracey won the Counties club race on Saturday 21st of April, it was her first win in a club race and a sign that she is developing as a roadie to go along with her recent time trialling performances.

Jeremy Meech wins at Home

Jeremy won Januarys 2 Day tour of the Hawkes Bay with a dominant display of winning 2 stages and placing well in the others. This was an impressive ride from Jeremy considering he was rolling around struggling in D grade when he first came to us in July

Biggs turns Pro

Brian Biggs has turned Professional for the UCI registered Plowman Craven-Evans Cycles racing team in the United Kingdom.. Brian first came to us in June 2005 after 2 years in D grade.
